DBGallery - An addictive new way to browse a photo collection. Explore by year, month, camera, etc. Search based on existing Exif and IPTC data, or data keyed via DBGallery. Generate reports, create buckets of photos, easily find and send photos via email. A photo database system which uses MySql as the database. Data is also stored in the IPTC/XMP metadata header of photos. Besides searching and browsing the collection based on keyed data like keywords, the collection can be explored using logical views: a tree of years and months; a tree with camera info like camera type, exposure, flash taken; the number of times the photo was viewed; etc.With data also stored in a database searches are very fast. There are a dozen or so reports available, such as a photo count by year and month. When emailing photos or using DBGallery's WebGallery (to generate a website) the photos and data are readily available to the system for fast generation. Emailing photos may be done via a generated PDF for webmail, or will directly created an email or Outlook, Thunderbird, and other desktop email clients. Acts as a great IPTC editor, supporting editing of multiple copies at once.
