Download Dolphin - Free software that you use from within internet explorer. It makes it easier to download documents and media files. In 2001, a software engineer, D. Philip Carney, began Download Dolphin. Much like the way the internet itself was hidden from the public for decades, Download Dolphin was only in the hands of few people until recently. It became free when the software interface designer and marketing consultant, John F. Keane, added his skills to the Download Dolphin Team.Previously, Download Dolphin was not free and unpublicised; it was a private tool that only a handful of people were allowed to use. However, its aim was and still is to improve the experience of users when browsing. In short, repetitive downloading is mind-numbing and we wanted a way to reduce the alienation. As toolbar and similar technologies improved, we realised that these technologies could be used to ease browsing and downloading.
