WriteTalk - A plain green screen that shows and says whatever letter or word they type. Let your kids play on your computer! Set the chair high enough, and from the control panel set the keyboard repeat rate slow.Then maximize WriteTalk and let them play at the keyboard. Each time they press a button they will see and hear a large picture of the letter and the phonetic sound. If they press a space, they hear the word pronounced. There are settings to use the classical letter names, and to make it repeat a whole sentence with correct intonation when they press a period. They will have fun trying to make the computer talk, and in the process they will learn letter sounds, keyboard skills, and spelling!
